Overseas Counsellor

Job Brief:

We are looking for a meticulous Immigration Counsellor to guide clients through all procedures required to ensure their successful immigration. The immigration consultant will be responsible for furnishing clients with relevant information and resources, supervising the completion of documentation, and submitting data on behalf of individuals, as required. You should also make arrangements to ensure that clients' pets are transported to their new countries in a safe and efficient manner.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Keeping up-to-date with alterations to immigration laws.
• Meeting with prospective and extant clients to gauge which services they require.
• Providing clients with all pertinent documentation.
• Assisting clients with the completion of paperwork, and ensuring that this is submitted on time.
• Verifying the authenticity of paperwork and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with foreign national candidates and hiring managers, obtain visa, work permit, and residency status documents
• Perform pre-screening, and participate in interviews, job previews, and job offers
• Complete work permits and visas for new hires, ensuring all required forms and documentation are submitted
• Document all immigration-related information to maintain accurate records
• Discussing career and educational goals with students.
• Aiding in the course selection process to ensure progress towards student goals.
• Displaying an interest in student development.
• Identifying student strengths and weaknesses.
• Maintaining updated reports on student progress.
• Intervening if behavioural or academic abnormalities occur.
• Connecting students with resources, such as counsellors or tutors.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of institutional policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Law, Education, Counselling).
• Knowledge of immigration laws, policies, and academic systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advisory skills.
• Familiarity with academic program offerings, admissions processes, and educational institutions.
• Ability to handle sensitive and complex situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Legal background or certification in immigration counselling is a plus.
