Machine Operator

Role & responsibilities

• Setting up and adjusting machines: Preparing machines for operation
• Operating machinery: Ensuring the machinery is functioning properly
• Conducting maintenance: Performing regular maintenance to prevent downtime
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing issues that may arise
• Verifying output: Checking for machine-related mistakes or flaws
• Reading blueprints: Interpreting blueprints and diagrams to meet production specifications
• Cleaning machinery: Assessing and cleaning machinery
• Conducting tests: Testing the performance and capacity of the machinery
• Calibrating machinery: Calibrating the machinery

Preferred candidate profile

• Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
• Understanding of production procedures
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
