Ams Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AMS Verification Engineer with extensive experience in analog and mixed-signal design verification. The successful candidate will contribute to the verification of complex mixed-signal chips, working with both digital and analog verification teams to ensure quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on the verification of AMS designs, ensuring accurate and complete verification of analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Develop testbenches, verification plans, and verification environments using System Verilog.
• Collaborate with the design and simulation teams to ensure seamless integration of analog and digital components in the verification environment.
• Execute simulation and validation of designs, identify and debug issues related to analog and mixed-signal circuits.
• Perform real number modeling of analog blocks to ensure their functionality meets design specifications.
• Use Cadence Spectre and other AMS simulation tools to validate the performance of the circuit.
• Develop automated scripts for verification and simulation flows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support AMS chip bring-up and debug, assisting in the identification and resolution of hardware/software interaction issues.
• Provide regular updates on verification progress and report any risks or issues to the project leads.

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. Equivalent practical experience is also considered.
• 4+ years of AMS design verification experience.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Fluent in System Verilog and real number modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Cadence Spectre and AMS simulator for analog/mixed-signal verification.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of analog IPs, including:
• Bandgap, oscillator, ADC/DAC, LDO, PLL, and Serdes.
• Proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python, Tcl, or Perl.
• Proven experience in AMS design verification of complex mixed-signal circuits.
• Strong debugging skills, with the ability to analyze complex verification failures and provide effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing verification methodology, flows, and automation.
• Hands-on experience in AMS chip bring-up and debug.
• In-depth analog/mixed-signal circuit verification experience, with tape-out experience in multiple areas, such as:
• LDO, DC-DC converters, Bandgap, A/D and D/A conversion, Temp sensor, PLLs, etc.
• Strong understanding of CMOS and VLSI technologies, including:
• Device physics, layout effects, sub-micron effects, and device reliability.
