Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from conceptualization to commissioning.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to ensure timely execution.
Construction Oversight:
Responsible for the construction of WTE facilities, ensuring adherence to Cost, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Resolve on-site challenges and ensure alignment with project designs and specifications.
Operations & Maintenance (O&M):
Responsible for the operational readiness of facilities, focusing on efficiency and uptime.
Implement maintenance protocols to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Regulatory and Environmental Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national regulations related to waste management and energy production.
Uphold environmental stewardship by adhering to best practices in waste-to-energy technologies.
Team Leadership:
Build and manage a high-performing project team, including technical, administrative, and site personnel.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the primary liaison between the organization, municipal corporations (e.g., PCMC), contractors, and other stakeholders.
Manage communication with regulatory authorities, addressing compliance and project progress.
Innovation and Process Optimization:
Explore and implement cutting-edge technologies for improving waste-to-energy processes.
Benchmark against global WTE standards to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.
A master’s degree in project management or a related field is an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 25–30 years in project management within Waste-to-Energy or power generation sectors.
Hands-on experience in construction, commissioning, and/or O&M of WTE or power plants.
Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure or energy projects.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
Specialization in EPC contract management for power and large infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of waste management processes like anaerobic digestion, gasification, and energy recovery.
Expertise in budget management, risk assessment, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Plant operational efficiency post-commissioning.
Compliance with regulatory and environmental standards.
Stakeholder satisfaction and effective coordination.
