About the role : (What will the person do?)
We are seeking a Cloud & Data Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and optimize our existing cloud and data environments. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, cost-efficiency, and performance of our AWS systems, as well as oversee databases, data pipelines, and analytical integrations. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers (PMs) and engineers in a dynamic, cross-functional environment to align infrastructure priorities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Infrastructure & Cost Management :
- Maintain and optimize existing AWS resources for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and monitor Elastic Beanstalk to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Oversee GCP billing and implement best practices for ongoing cost control.
Data Management & Monitoring :
- Maintain end-to-end data pipelines and workflows, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
- Leverage Airbyte and AWS DMS to synchronize data within Databricks environments.
Databricks & Analytics :
- Monitor and optimize Databricks clusters, workflows, and associated resources.
- Support ongoing data transformations, ETL/ELT processes
Collaboration & Optimization :
- Partner closely with Product Managers (PMs) and engineers to align infrastructure maintenance and
enhancements with business needs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to streamline B2B scripts and ensure consistent data quality.
- Identify and implement best practices for performance tuning, operational excellence, and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience maintaining AWS, Azure, and/or GCP resources, including cost management.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integration tools (Airbyte, AWS DMS) for ongoing data operations.
- Experience with Databricks (optional) monitoring and optimization, and integrating analytics platforms (e.g., Amplitude).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience in scripting (Python, Shell) for automating infrastructure tasks is a plus.
- Relevant certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or GCP certifications are a bonus.
