Job Title: QA/QC Incharge - AMISP Project

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA/QC Incharge to oversee and ensure the successful execution of the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities on our AMISP project.
This role will be pivotal in ensuring that all project activities, materials, and deliverables meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will lead the quality team, manage quality processes, and proactively address quality concerns throughout the project's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) plans for the AMISP project, ensuring alignment with project goals and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with established quality standards and specifications throughout all stages of the project, including design, development, installation, and testing.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews of project processes, materials, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality requirements.
- Identify and address quality issues and deviations from standards early in the project, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Lead and manage the quality control team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring effective execution of all quality-related activities.
- Review and approve all materials, equipment, and products to ensure they meet the required quality standards before being used or installed on-site.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality control documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Work closely with project managers and other departments to integrate quality requirements into all phases of the project, from planning to execution.
- Lead the creation of test procedures and guidelines for system testing, integration, and commissioning, ensuring full compliance with project specifications.
- Oversee testing and validation activities for metering devices, applications, and other project components, ensuring they meet functionality and performance standards.
- Perform root cause analysis on quality issues or failures, implementing corrective actions to resolve them and prevent recurrence.
- Provide training to project teams on quality management procedures, industry best practices, and the correct use of quality tools and techniques.
- Ensure that suppliers and subcontractors meet quality standards by conducting inspections, audits, and assessments of their processes and deliverables.
- Track and report on key quality performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management regarding project quality status, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate quality improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance project processes, materials, and systems for overall improvement.
- Conduct internal and external audits of the project's quality management system to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Ensure effective communication of quality issues to relevant stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring that quality is maintained without compromising safety protocols.
- Assist in the final inspection and acceptance of deliverables, ensuring all project components meet the required quality criteria prior to handover to the client.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in AMISP or related projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in quality control tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis, inspection methodologies, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and industry best practices in quality management.
Desired Skills:
- Certifications in quality management (e.g, CQE, CQM, Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
- Experience with advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) or smart grid projects.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations
