Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations on-site for our AMISP (Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider) project.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities are executed according to plan, schedule, and budget.
This role will involve managing the workforce, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring safety, quality, and smooth logistical operations to meet project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations at the project site, ensuring that all activities are progressing according to the project plan, timeline, and quality standards.
- Manage and supervise the onsite workforce, ensuring that tasks are properly assigned and that team members adhere to the project schedule and timelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to maintain project momentum.
- Ensure that the team is adequately equipped with the necessary tools, materials, and resources to carry out their tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor and enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
- Resolve any operational issues or challenges that arise on-site, providing immediate solutions to ensure the smooth continuation of work.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, compliance with safety standards, and adherence to project specifications and client expectations.
- Coordinate logistics for materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely availability and efficient use during project execution.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Project Lead to ensure that site operations are aligned with the overall project objectives and goals.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities and progress, including labor, material usage, and milestone achievements, ensuring proper documentation for reporting.
- Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and smooth project execution.
- Ensure effective and timely communication with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on site progress, potential issues, and corrective actions being taken.
- Participate in regular site meetings with the project team to review progress, discuss challenges, and identify areas for continuous improvement and optimization of operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in operations management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or AMISP-related projects.
- Strong knowledge of project operations, workforce management, and logistics.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tools for tracking operations.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with AMISP (smart metering infrastructure) or similar technology-driven infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance in AMISP projects.
- Ability to manage multiple aspects of site operations simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Experience in managing diverse teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
