LEAD Process Engineer (ON-SHORE)

NMDC(Energy), formerly known as NPCC, Abu Dhabi is looking for senior Process Engineers, with 15-20 years of experience in Hydrocarbon industry from reputed Engineering organizations. The selected candidate will be located in Abu Dhabi. However, candidates meeting the requirement can be provided facility to work from their subsidiaries in Mumbai/Hyderabad or Chennai on an exceptional basis. The selected candidate will report to the Head of Discipline (Process & Safety) and work under his overall supervision.

PURPOSE & SCOPE:

This position requires hands on experience in Oil & Gas/ Refineries/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer/ Process plants. Must be well versed with all project phases like conceptual Design, feasibility studies, FEED Engineering, Detail Engineering, Start up and Operation support.

The role involves extensive knowledge of Process Simulations, specialized Process Studies, sizing of Process Equipment & Instrument, development of PFDs & P&IDs including proven experience in Onshore specific process units, packaged units, modular designs etc.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates with Project Engineering Manager, Project Manager, Clients, other Discipline Engineers, Consultants, Vendors, etc. as required.

• Develops Process Design Basis and Design Philosophies based on scope of work.
• Reviews / Performs Process Simulations and Guides Process Engineers to perform Process Simulations and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.
• Guides / Reviews/Performs works such as Equipment / Instrument sizing, Process calculations, Pipeline hydraulics, Flare and Blow down calculations, preparation of PFDs & P&IDs, Equipment / Package / Instrument data sheets preparation etc.
• Participates in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and other safety studies, provides process inputs as required and close recommendations.
• Reviews equipment layouts, participates in design reviews and 3D model reviews.
• Develops design guidelines, design procedures and engineering best practices, spreadsheets and/or standalone software program to simplify / automate Process works.
• Provides input for the development of the Planning Package and project progress reporting. Monitors and Controls man-hours to ensure that the job is finished within budgeted man-hours.
• Reviews / Prepares Operating Manual, Operating Philosophies and Operating Procedures.
• Prepares performance guarantee procedure and provides support during commissioning and performance run as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• B. Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute.
• Knowledge and expertise in using process-engineering simulation software HYSYS essential.
• Knowledge of PIPESIM, OLGA, TGNET, TLNET, ProMax, HYSYS Dynamics etc. is preferred.
• Experience in development of PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, Safe charts.
• Good knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards.
