Android Developer

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement and maintain APIs to connect Android apps to back-end services.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Publish and maintain apps on the Google Play Store.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in Android app development with a portfolio of released applications.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java programming languages.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and mobile app architecture patterns (e. g. , MVVM, MVP).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Android UI/UX design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e. g. , Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and other modern Android tools.
• Knowledge of Firebase or other mobile backend solutions.
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD).
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
