Job Summary:

As Backend Engineer, you would be building APIs for our users to ensure world-class experience. Since we are a customer facing app, being able to think about all the cases/scenarios and build resilient features is really important. What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable customer facing APIs to handle large volumes of traffic efficiently and reliably.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Write Unit test cases and support testing team for Integration testing.
• Work closely with the Mobile team to build optimized APIs on an agreed upon response structure based on the requirements.
• Take full ownership of tasks from inception to deployment, delivering high-quality solutions that improve user experience.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and technologies as they arise, embracing a growth mindset.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experienced Backend Engineer with at least 2 years of Golang experience.
• Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of working with SQL databases.
• Build data models, write performant queries to fetch data.
• Strong understanding of Serverless Architecture (Lambdas, API Gateways, EC2) on any major cloud platforms AWS (preferred)/GCP/Azure.
• High ownership individual who is comfortable visualizing product requirements and promptly raising the gaps in the Specifications.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and development.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Nice to Haves:

• Good knowledge of Java/Spring is a major plus.
• Has hands-on experience deploying Docker applications on EC2s.
• Knows how to use JIRA sacredly.
