We are seeking a dedicated Composites Technician with 1 year of hands-on production experience working with composites, glass, and carbon fiber materials. The ideal candidate will be skilled in hand lay-up techniques, mold preparation, vacuum bagging, CNC ply cutting, oven and autoclave curing, composite trimming, and bonding composite materials to both composites and metals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform hand lay-up techniques for composite, glass, and carbon fiber materials.
- Prepare molds for composite manufacturing processes.
- Execute vacuum bagging processes to ensure quality and consistency in composite parts.
- Operate ply cutting CNC machines for precise material preparation.
- Conduct oven and autoclave curing processes for composite parts.
- Trim composite parts to specifications using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Bond composite materials to other composites and metals, ensuring strong and durable connections.
- Maintain detailed documentation of production processes and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all production activities.
- Diploma/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 1 year of hands-on production experience with composites, glass, and carbon fiber materials.
- Proficiency in hand lay-up techniques.
- Experience with mold preparation processes.
- Skilled in vacuum bagging and curing processes, including oven and autoclave curing.
- Familiarity with CNC machines for ply cutting.
- Competence in composite trimming and bonding techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
