Maintenance Engineer (Aseptic Processing & Packing)

Job Summary :

Maintenance Engineer (Aseptic Processing & Packing) is responsible for ensuring the maintenance, and optimization of Tetra Pak and SIG aseptic processing & packaging lines, including A-3 Speed, A3 Flex, 1000ml Edge, 250ml Edge, and Combismile equipment. The role involves minimizing equipment downtime and improving operational efficiency within the dairy industry.

Role & responsibilities :

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of Aseptic Processing & Packing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues in machines like A-3 Speed, A3 Flex, 1000ml Edge, 250ml Edge, and Combismile lines.
• Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities during non-peak hours.
• Monitor equipment performance metrics and implement improvement plans.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic standards and regulatory requirements in all maintenance activities.
• Maintain compliance with ISO, HACCP, and GMP standards during equipment handling and repairs.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for equipment-related non-conformities.:
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement of critical parts.
• Develop and maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance history.
• Propose and implement upgrades to improve the efficiency, reliability, and lifespan of aseptic packaging equipment.
• Support commissioning and testing of new equipment and upgrades.
• Provide technical training to operators and junior maintenance staff on handling and maintaining Aseptic Processing & Packing Lines.
• Prepare detailed maintenance SOPs and equipment manuals for reference.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Education: First Class Diploma or Bachelors Degree (B.E.) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Full Time) from accredited institution.

Experience:

• Minimum 05 years of hands-on experience of maintenance of Tetra Pak /SIG Aseptic Processing & packing Lines including distribution equipment (A-3Speed, CF, A3 Flex, 1000 ml Edge,250 ml edge, Combismile), Sterilizers/Aseptic tank (GEA/Tetra Pak/JBT).
• Experience in Aseptic Processing & Packing operations and automation, in addition to above mentioned maintenance expertise, is a strong advantage.
• Computer Knowledge on SAP/ERP (SAP PP-PM module).

Age: Preferably below 35 years.

Key Competencies and Expertise:

• Proficient in maintenance of Tetra Pak and SIG Aseptic Processing & packaging lines, including A-3 Speed, A3 Flex, 1000ml Edge, 250ml Edge, and Combismile.
• Expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing aseptic processing & packaging equipment.
• Managing and maintaining complex mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
• Capable of conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive/ corrective measures.
• Ability to manage maintenance schedules, coordinate cross-functional teams, and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements like ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001and GMP for dairy industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with team members and vendors. I want all upper skills in short format like instead of first line Technical Knowledge of Aseptic Processing & Packing Technology
