Job Description for Pattern Making Master

• Pattern Development: Create initial garment patterns based on designer sketches or concepts.
• Pattern Grading: Scale patterns up or down to create various sizes while maintaining proportions.
• Fit Evaluation: Collaborate with designers, sample makers, and fit models to perfect garment fit and shape.
• Technical Specifications: Prepare detailed technical specifications for each pattern, including seam allowances, notches, and labels.
• Pattern Alterations: Modify patterns as needed based on feedback from fit sessions and sample production
• Quality Assurance: Conduct pattern reviews to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Documentation: Maintain organized records of all patterns and revisions.
• Work closely with design, production, and sample-making teams to ensure accurate interpretation of designs into patterns.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in pattern making.
• Education: Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, or related field. Additional coursework in pattern making is preferred.
• Experience: Several years of experience as a Pattern Maker or Pattern Master in the fashion industry.
