Surveillance Infrastructure Assessment: Review disease trends and assess the adequacy of infrastructure and staffing across selected cities, providing recommendations for enhancements.
Geospatial Epidemiology: Study and provide expertise on geospatial epidemiology tools and their application in predicting disease outbreaks and identifying vulnerable populations.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: MBBS with post-graduation in Community Medicine/Preventive and Social Medicine (PSM) or equivalent.
Experience:
- Over 20 years of professional experience in public health, with a focus on disease surveillance and public health systems at the national or state level.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a State Surveillance Officer or in a similar role.
- Prior experience in team management and leading large-scale health initiatives.
Sector Expertise: In-depth knowledge of surveillance systems, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), infectious diseases, and public health infrastructure.
Partnerships: Experience working with national/state health agencies such as ICMR, NCDC, and IDSP, or with technical partners like WHO, and CDC will be an added advantage.

Essential Skills:

Leadership: Proven ability to lead and build teams, and to inspire and motivate diverse stakeholders.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web-based research tools.
Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with government counterparts, donors, and development partners at national and state levels.
Health Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with the Indian health system, especially disease surveillance initiatives like IHIP, IDSP, and key programs like NHM, Ayushman Bharat, PM-ABHIM, and the XV-FC.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
