Software Development Engineer, IN Payments

Amazon Payment Foundations Platform team at Amazon India Development Center, Hyderabad is looking for a Developer to design and build the next generation of Payments platform and product from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for building a successful, sustainable and strategic business for Amazon, from the ground up!
You will get the opportunity to code on almost all key pages on brand new Payments stack building features and improving business metrics. This team will work on diverse technology stack from SOA, UI frameworks, big-data and ML algorithms.

We are responsible for the Recurring Payments platform, providing the core services for clients like Prime, Subscribe and Save, HFC-Electricity, Mobile Postpaid and many more. We thrive on providing the BII RSR for recurring payments, and make sure these payment transactions are compliant per RBI and NPCI regulations.

We are looking for software engineers who thrive on complex problems and relish the challenge of operating complex and mission critical systems under loads. A day in the life
As a software development engineer on this team, you will play a pivotal role in the following:

- Work with the team to help drive business decisions
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to drive services optimisations, cost, and security.
- Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables
- Write high quality distributed system software
- Work in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
