Senior Software Development Engineer, Digital & Emerging Payments Tech

Digital & Emerging Payments Tech Team is looking for passionate and talented software engineers who have experience building innovative, critical, high volume applications that customers love. The Senior SDE will be based in Cairo, Egypt and must have Software engineering experience involving designing, architecting and solving complex problems.

Our back-end systems are always available and guarantee that our customer s orders are never lost and always processed even when downstream services are down.

You are someone who will enjoy the challenge of working on complex and highly disparate technologies - from front-end to back-end highly distributed systems. You are security-conscious and continually analyze software for potential threats to safeguard customer trust. Key job responsibilities

Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for our customers.
Work closely with SDEs , Sr SDEs and SDMs to develop the best technical approach for new product development to solve business problems.
. Instill best practices for software development and documentation and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.
Write high quality distributed system software.
Work in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, new services, and make recommendations for technology improvements that will help shape the future of podcast delivery architectures
Deliver Proof-of-Concepts and proposals for integrations with emerging technologies
. Operational Excellence - monitoring & operation of production services. - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
