Quality Manager

Job Purpose :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to oversee the quality assurance processes in our lithium-ion battery pack assembly operations. Ensuring the assembly phase meets rigorous quality standards, optimizing product reliability and performance, and aligning with organizational objectives and industry benchmarks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards, from materials procurement to the final assembly of battery packs.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality management systems for lithium-ion battery pack assembly.
• Lead a team of quality engineers and technicians to monitor and improve production processes.
• Conduct inspections and audits of raw materials, in-process assemblies, and final products to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Analyze data from quality testing, identify trends, and implement corrective actions for any deviations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations throughout the manufacturing process.
• Manage the internal and external product certification processes.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on quality control procedures.
• Ensure that all products of the company meet consistent standards
• Reviewing customer feedback and understanding customer demands and expectations of products and services Assessing and reviewing all materials provided by suppliers to ensure overall quality.
• Make sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards Look at ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency
• Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
• Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them Improve reliability of new product development processes, Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing annual budgets, and scheduling expenditures.
• Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) foreach area of responsibility.
• Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
• Monitor the process capabilities for all SC/CC parameters and work out for variation reduction to improve the capability. Identification of SC/CC based on FMEA/IATF/Customer specific requirements.
• Preparation of the control plan based on FMEA , specifications, CSR

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in quality management within the battery manufacturing or related industry (preferably lithium-ion battery pack assembly).
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies (Six Sigma, ISO 9001, etc.).
• Proven track record in leading teams and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using quality control tools, statistical analysis, and process optimization techniques
• Good knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification audits
• Experience in QMS audits handling
• Experience of customer complaints handling
