Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in MATLAB/Simulink modeling, MISRA C coding standards, and embedded software development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality, reliable, and maintainable embedded software solutions using industry-standard tools and methodologies, including MAAB (MathWorks Automotive Advisory Board) guidelines, MISRA C, and model-based design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models for embedded control systems and algorithm development.
• Ensure adherence to MISRA C coding standards and industry best practices in all aspects of software development.
• Apply MAAB guidelines to ensure high-quality modeling practices for automotive and embedded applications.
• Design, develop, and validate model-based software for embedded systems, including testing and debugging using both simulation and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models with embedded hardware and software components.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing.
• Conduct peer reviews and audits of code and models to ensure compliance with coding standards and modeling rules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring timely delivery of software products.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or masters degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with MATLAB/Simulink in the development of embedded systems.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with MISRA C coding standards and their application in embedded software.
• Experience applying MAAB guidelines in automotive and embedded software projects.
• Hands-on experience in embedded system modeling, model-based design, and control system development.
• Knowledge of embedded software development tools and processes, including version control and automated testing.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing software for automotive or real-time embedded systems.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware integration.
• Understanding of functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
• Proficiency in additional programming languages like C++, Python, or Java.
