Quality Assurance Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
• Develop, implement, and maintain the laboratory's quality management system in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
• Conducted internal audits and managed external audits by accreditation bodies.
• Oversee corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities.
• Calibration Oversight:
• Ensure accurate and traceable calibrations across temperature ranges (-80°C to 1200°C) and humidity (5%-98% RH).
• Monitor the performance and maintenance of reference standards and calibration equipment.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to optimize calibration procedures, documentation, and workflows.
• Implement lean practices to improve laboratory efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Training & Development:
• Train staff on quality standards, calibration techniques, and new methodologies.
• Promote a culture of quality and continuous learning within the team.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, audit reports, and quality documentation.
• Prepare and present regular quality metrics and improvement plans to management.

Preferred candidate profile

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality assurance and compliance in our Thermal Calibration Laboratory. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to ISO/IEC 17025 standards, drive continual improvement in processes, and uphold the highest levels of precision and reliability in temperature and humidity calibration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, metrology, physics, or a related field.
• Minimum *5 years of experience* in a calibration laboratory environment, with at least *2 years in a quality management role*.
• Strong knowledge of *ISO/IEC 17025 standards* and calibration processes, especially in thermal and humidity ranges.
• Proficiency in quality management tools and software.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA, Six Sigma).
• Familiarity with metrological traceability and uncertainty calculations.
• Experience with laboratory management systems (LIMS).
