Position Title: Chartered Accountant (CA) - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Reports To: FP&A Manager / Finance Director

Role Overview:

As a CA Fresher in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you will be responsible for supporting the financial planning processes, assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing financial performance. You will be a key player in helping the company optimize financial performance and achieve its business goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to gain hands-on experience in FP&A, working closely with senior finance professionals and other business units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Work closely with business units to gather and validate financial data for budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Prepare variance analysis reports comparing actual results with budgeted and forecasted figures.
• Financial Analysis:
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, providing insights into revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports for senior management.
• Assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Management Reporting:
• Support the preparation of management reports, including key financial and operational KPIs.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for management to assist in strategic business decisions.
• Work on improving reporting templates and automating financial reporting processes.
• Cost Control and Profitability Analysis:
  
• Monitor and analyze cost trends across various departments.
• Work with different teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
• Analyze profitability by product, service, and business unit, and assist in recommending improvement strategies.
• Financial Systems and Tools:
  
• Assist with the use of financial software and ERP systems for data entry, report generation, and analysis.
• Support the team in streamlining processes and implementing system upgrades or improvements.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the systems.
• Compliance & Internal Controls:
  
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/Ind AS) and company policies in financial reporting and analysis.
• Assist in internal audits and prepare financial documentation as required by internal auditors.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
  
• Liaise with other departments such as sales, operations, and marketing to understand business drivers and financial performance.
• Provide financial insights and support to non-finance stakeholders, helping them understand financial metrics and results.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with IFRS or Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling) and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience:
• Fresh CA with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Exposure to financial analysis, financial reporting, or auditing (internships or articleship experience preferred).
