The Chrysalis Counselor will be part of the counseling team, and will be responsible for the following:.
Provide counseling for those from church and those from outside church, including people from different faith, religious and cultural backgrounds.
Provide counseling for specific areas of need across age groups and demographics including: Children/Teens, Twenties, Pre-Marital, Marriage, Financial, Career/Professional, Rehab, etc For children/teens some common problem areas that would need to be addressed would include: academic pressure, coping with peer pressure, conflicts at home, purity/character, Adolescence changes, relating to parents, Abuse/trauma, etc .
Facilitate Marriage Preparation Course to Christian couples from APC and outside who are preparing for marriage.
For APC Couples, coordinate this process with assigned APC pastors.
Work with the team to teach Counseling courses to believers who wish to be trained to serve people better.
Conduct workshops and seminars to serve and equip people in counseling.
As invited by APC Bible College Administrator, teach counseling and other related courses at APC Bible College.
Assist other ministries at APC with Counseling services when required.
Offer immediate support and counseling during times of crisis or trauma, helping clients cope with difficult situations.
Stay up-to-date with developments in counseling techniques, mental health research, and Christian counseling practices.
Adhere to professional codes of ethics and conduct that apply to both mental health counseling and Christian ministry.
Develop and deliver useful content through Chrysalislife.
org, the Chrysalis Counseling website.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS.
Must have a definite call of God for counselling ministry.
3-5 years or more of professional counselling experience in any relevant setting (corporate, hospital, local church ministry, educational institution, etc ).
An advanced degree (Masters or higher) in Psychology, Christian Counseling or related field.
A strong personal walk with God, knowledge of Gods Word and walk in the Spirit.
Able to draw from the Word and the Spirit, to serve people, in addition to professional counseling knowledge.
Must have been actively involved in local church life and ministry.
Preference will be given to those who have been actively serving at APC Bangalore.

Able to communicate well with people from different backgrounds with an excellent command of English spoken and written.
A genuine desire to help others and provide emotional and spiritual support.
Able to maintain accurate and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
