BigCommerce Developer - Java (5-8 yrs)

Requirements :

We are seeking an experienced BigCommerce Developer with 5-8 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and maintain e-commerce websites using the BigCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will analyze user needs, create tailored solutions, and customize the platform to optimize operational efficiency. Experience with SAP CCV2 or Salesforce Commerce is preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and Maintain E-Commerce Websites : Create and manage e-commerce websites using the BigCommerce platform to meet business objectives.

- Theme and Plugin Customization : Customize BigCommerce themes, plugins, and modules to align with specific business requirements.

- User Needs Analysis : Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to improve the overall e-commerce experience.

- Feature Development : Design and implement new features and functionalities, ensuring alignment with business goals.

- System Integration : Integrate BigCommerce with various third-party applications such as payment gateways, ERP, and CRM systems.

- Performance Optimization : Ensure the performance, scalability, and responsiveness of e-commerce applications.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features and updates.

Troubleshooting and Debugging : Identify and resolve issues promptly to maintain smooth operations.

Skills and Experience Required :

BigCommerce Expertise :

- Proficiency with the BigCommerce platform, including Stencil framework, Storefront APIs, and BigCommerce Admin API.

- Experience with BigCommerce Storefront customizations and integrating third-party services.

Technical Proficiency :

- Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, and Java.

- Knowledge of responsive web design principles.

Version Control : Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and debugging skills with attention to detail.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Ability to work independently and in team environments.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience : Knowledge or experience with SAP CCV2 or Salesforce Commerce is a significant advantage.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in e-commerce development, specifically using BigCommerce
