State Marketing Head - Karnataka

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution:

• Develop and execute a tailored marketing strategy for the state that supports national business objectives while addressing local market dynamics.
• Analyze local market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitors to refine marketing tactics.
• Partner with the sales team to design strategies that accelerate sales growth and market expansion.

Campaign Leadership:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of regional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms (digital, print, events, partnerships).
• Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives.
• Track and optimize campaign performance to maximize ROI and adjust based on key metrics.

Brand Oversight:

• Ensure the company's brand messaging is consistent across all state-specific marketing materials.
• Supervise the creation of content that is tailored to the region, including advertisements, brochures, digital media, and other promotional materials.
• Serve as the brand ambassador for the company at the local level, strengthening relationships within the community.

Market Research & Insights:

• Conduct detailed market research to understand the needs, preferences, and demographics of local customers.
• Assess campaign data and sales reports to evaluate effectiveness, using insights to refine future strategies.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Lead and develop the state marketing team, offering guidance and support for team growth and performance.
• Work closely with national marketing teams, sales, product development, and other departments to align marketing efforts.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages the sharing and implementation of innovative ideas.

Budget Management:

• Oversee and manage the state marketing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively for high-impact initiatives.
• Monitor spending and adjust strategies to remain within budget while achieving optimal results.

Stakeholder Relations:

• Cultivate relationships with local influencers, media, and community leaders to boost brand visibility and community engagement.
• Represent the company at key local industry events, conferences, and promotional activities.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring:

• Provide regular reports on marketing activities, KPIs, and ROI to senior management.
• Continuously monitor progress towards set goals and make adjustments to ensure marketing objectives are met.

Preferred candidate profile

• At least 7 years of marketing experience, with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in managing regional or state-level marketing campaigns and teams.
• Expertise in both digital and traditional marketing channels, along with integrated campaign execution.
• Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
