About the Role:
As a Technical Lead Product Design, you will play a critical role in leading the design, prototyping, and development of electro-mechanical packaging solutions across diverse domains such as IoT, EV mobility systems, energy storage, and consumer electronics. From concept to final delivery, you will ensure compliance with industry standards, delivering innovative, high-quality products that meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development and Design:
1. Conduct requirement studies, competitive benchmarking, and conceptualize designs for products in EV and mobility, energy storage, and telecom battery systems.
2. Develop industrial design documents, including CMF details, and secure customer approvals.

3. Create detailed 3D models with DFM/DFA considerations and perform thermal simulations.
4. Execute tolerance stack-up analysis and design optimization for cost and manufacturability.

Documentation and Validation:
1. Draft and finalize comprehensive mechanical design documents and 2D manufacturing drawings.
2. Ensure part and product assembly validation through prototyping and testing.
3. Optimize BOM and handle fasteners, glands, thermal materials, and other bought-out parts.

Testing and Production:
1. Oversee mold releases, trial parts validation, and compliance testing for renewable energy and IoT solutions.
2. Define key manufacturing parameters such as gate and ejector pin locations, parting lines, and sliders.
3. Facilitate pre-compliance testing and ensure the final product meets regulatory standards.

Assembly Line Management:
1. Design and manage NPI assembly lines, ensuring efficient station arrangement and smooth processes for telecom battery and consumer electronics products.
2. Train teams on assembly procedures and tools to ensure high-quality and hassle-free production.

Collaboration and Delivery:
1.Work with hardware and layout teams to ensure PCB layout feasibility and optimal component placement for IoT and energy storage devices.
2. Supervise final product delivery, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and deadlines.

Key Projects:
Some impactful projects handled by candidates in this role might include:
1. EV-related IoT solutions such as smart fuel dispenser simulators
2. Advanced telecom batteries and energy storage systems
3. Consumer electronics like car WiFi hotspots and dash cameras
4. Networking devices, including WiFi 6 and WiFi 7 Access Points


Skills and Proficiencies:
1. Expertise in design tools: SOLIDWORKS, CREO, Autodesk Moldflow, MasterCAM, KeyShot, and ANSYS (Static).
2. Strong understanding of sheet metal, plastic, and casting product design.
3. Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and electromechanical packaging.
4. Familiarity with ERP tools like BizBox for resource planning.
5. Knowledge of IoT, EV systems, renewable energy, telecom battery, and consumer electronics domains.

Qualifications:
1. Masters in Tool Engineering or Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
2. Proven experience of minimum 4 (four) years as a Technical Lead in product design and development.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in English, Kannada, and Hindi preferred.
