Software Development Engineer

Job Summary

As an SDE-II, you will work on full-stack development with an emphasis on building robust backend systems using Node.js, Nest.js, and databases like MongoDB and MySQL. You will also be involved in front-end development using Angular and work with modern technologies such as Kafka and Redis. Your role will include optimizing queries, ensuring system scalability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development:
  
• Design, develop, test, and deploy both front-end and back-end applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver features that meet business needs.

• Backend Focus:
  
• Build and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Nest.js.
• Develop scalable microservices and backend systems using MongoDB and MySQL.
• Implement efficient query optimization strategies to improve application performance.
• Integrate and manage message brokers such as Kafka for asynchronous processing.
• Utilize Redis for caching and improving system response times.

• Front-End Responsibilities:
  
• Develop dynamic and responsive web interfaces using Angular.
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.

• System Architecture and Code Quality:
  
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of our technology stack.
• Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing (unit and integration), and adherence to best practices.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve scalability.

• Collaboration and Mentorship:
  
• Work closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality software.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.

Required Qualifications

• Experience:
  
• 4-6 years of professional software development experience with full-stack expertise.

• Technical Skills:
  
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Nest.js for backend development.
• Experience with databases including MongoDB and MySQL; knowledge of query optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with caching systems like Redis.
• Hands-on experience with messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Proficient in Angular for front-end development.
• Knowledge of RESTful/GraphQL API design.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

• Programming Languages:
  
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
