Job Title: Project Planning Manager

Reports To: Project Director/General Manager

Job Summary:

The Planning Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing project

plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. This role involves coordinating with

various teams, analyzing project progress, managing risks, and ensuring resource

optimization while adhering to company policies and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including resource

allocation, task sequencing, and milestone tracking.

• Use project management software to monitor timelines and ensure adherence

to deadlines.

2. Risk Management:

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and communicate findings to stakeholders.

3. Resource Management:

• Plan and allocate resources effectively to ensure project success.
• Coordinate with procurement and HR to manage material, equipment, and

manpower requirements.

4. Budgeting and Cost Control:

• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and monitor project budgets.
• Analyze cost variations and recommend corrective actions.

5. Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the point of contact between the client, project team, and senior

management.

• Prepare and present progress reports, highlighting achievements and

addressing concerns.

6. Team Coordination:

• Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure

alignment of project goals.

• Provide guidance and support to planning engineers and other team members.

7. Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure all planning activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for reference and audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a

related field.

• Master’s degree in Project Management is a plus.
