About the Role :
As an Application Security Engineer at Ajackus, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for ensuring the security of our applications and systems.
You will focus on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating vulnerabilities in our software and network infrastructure, conducting rigorous vulnerability testing, and implementing security fixes.
Experience Required : 3+ years
Responsibilities :
- Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing of company applications and infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and security flaws.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Develop and implement security enhancements and fixes for applications.
- Stay updated with the latest security vulnerabilities and ensure that the company's applications and infrastructure are safeguarded against them.
- Create and maintain documentation regarding security issues and remediation measures.
- Work closely with IT and development teams to establish best practices for application security.
- Provide training and guidance to development teams on secure coding practices.
- Manage and configure security testing tools and software.
- Respond to and investigate security breaches or incidents.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in application security or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of coding or programming language
- Strong knowledge of security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Experience with vulnerability testing and security assessments.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Knowledge of security tools and products (e.g, OWASP tools, static and dynamic analysis tools).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are a plus.
