Role Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to join our team in Bengaluru. The Development Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, deployment, and optimization of large-scale connected applications that power the smart mobility ecosystem. You will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of these applications, working directly with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and client stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation, performance, and monetization of connected solutions. Key Responsibilities :

Application Development & Deployment :

- Lead the end-to-end development process of connected applications for smart mobility, ensuring they meet functional, technical, and business requirements.

- Oversee the deployment of applications, ensuring they scale to handle large volumes of users and data.

- Drive the development of software solutions and ensure integration with backend systems, IoT devices, and network infrastructure.

Team Leadership & Management :

- Manage, mentor, and guide a team of developers, engineers, and technical professionals.

- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

- Set clear objectives and performance metrics for the development team, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Client Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with automakers, mobile network operators, and consumers to understand their needs, and provide tailored technical solutions.

- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals.

- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the project lifecycle, ensuring that solutions meet client expectations and are delivered on time.

Smart Mobility & Ecosystem Monetization :

- Stay up to date with industry trends in smart mobility technologies, IoT, and ecosystem monetization strategies.

- Implement features and capabilities that drive new revenue streams for clients while improving the user experience.

- Contribute to the design and execution of smart mobility solutions that enhance connectivity, automation, and overall mobility experiences.

Project Management :

- Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, ensuring that milestones are met within the defined timelines and budget.

- Monitor project progress and resolve any obstacles that may arise, adjusting resources and timelines as needed.

- Maintain strong project documentation and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.

Quality Assurance & Performance Optimization :

- Oversee testing and quality assurance processes to ensure applications are delivered with minimal defects.

- Continuously monitor the performance of deployed applications and collaborate with teams to optimize performance, security, and scalability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Collaborate with product management, data science, and UX/UI teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business objectives.

- Ensure that development efforts align with overall business goals, technology stack, and company vision.

- Advocate for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices across development teams.

Qualifications :

Educational Background : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- Proven experience (7+ years) in developing, deploying, and scaling large-scale connected applications, particularly in smart mobility, IoT, or related sectors.

- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, managing cross-functional teams and projects.

- Hands-on experience with software development, coding, and solutioning, including proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.

- Experience with mobile and web application development frameworks, cloud technologies, and databases.

- Familiarity with automotive or telecommunications industries is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of smart mobility technologies, connected vehicle platforms, and ecosystem monetization models.

Skills & Competencies :

- Strong technical expertise with hands-on experience in designing and implementing software solutions.

- Excellent project management skills, with experience in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.

- Ability to lead and mentor a technical team while promoting a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities to tackle complex technical and business challenges.

Technical Proficiency :

- Proficient in using modern development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and software development practices (e.g., CI/CD).

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies as applied to connected mobility solutions.
