Airdit Software Services - Enterprise Systems Architect - SAP MM/IM/MRP Modules (4-7 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Systems Architect specializing in Logistics, with a strong focus on SAP MM/IM/MRP, to lead the technical aspects of our S4 HANA upgrade project.

This critical role will be instrumental in the successful transition from S4 HANA 2020 to S4 HANA 2023, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum benefit realization.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in end-to-end processing of intra and inter-company stock transfers, procurement, order management, and ideally, process industries production processing.

This role requires a hands-on architect who can not only design solutions but also actively contribute to testing, risk management, training, and knowledge transfer to our IT and Functional Centers of Excellence (COEs).

The project kickoff is planned for mid-March, so immediate availability is highly desirable.

Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture & Design : Lead the design and architecture of the upgraded S4 HANA system, focusing on MM/IM/MRP modules.

This includes :

- Evaluating the current system architecture and identifying areas for improvement and optimization in the context of the upgrade.

- Developing detailed technical specifications for the upgraded system, including configurations, integrations, and customizations.

- Designing and documenting solutions for complex business requirements related to logistics processes.

- Ensuring alignment of the technical design with business requirements and overall enterprise architecture.

- Creating and maintaining architecture artifacts, including diagrams, documentation, and presentations.

- Upgrade Planning & Execution : Contribute significantly to the upgrade planning and execution, including :

- Defining the technical upgrade strategy, considering factors such as downtime, data migration, and testing.

- Working with project management to develop a detailed project plan and timeline.

- Identifying and mitigating technical risks associated with the upgrade.

- Overseeing the technical execution of the upgrade, ensuring adherence to best practices and timelines.

Configuration & Customization :

- Perform hands-on configuration of the S4 HANA system, specifically in the MM/IM/MRP modules, and guide development teams on necessary customizations.

This includes :

- Configuring and customizing SAP MM/IM/MRP modules to meet business requirements.

- Developing and maintaining technical documentation for configurations and customizations.

- Ensuring the quality and integrity of the system configuration.

Testing & Quality Assurance :

- Define the testing strategy and acceptance criteria for the upgraded system and actively participate in testing activities.

This includes :

- Developing comprehensive test plans and test cases.

- Executing functional and integration tests.

- Identifying and resolving defects.

- Ensuring the quality and stability of the upgraded system.

Training & Knowledge Transfer :

- Develop and deliver training materials and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to IT and Functional COEs.

This includes :

- Creating training materials for end-users and IT support staff.

- Conducting training sessions and workshops.

- Providing ongoing support and guidance to the COEs.

Risk Management : Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks associated with the upgrade project.

This includes :

- Developing a risk management plan.

- Monitoring and tracking risks.

- Implementing mitigation strategies.

Fiori Implementation & Integration :

- Leverage Fiori for enhanced user experience and streamline logistics processes.

This includes :

- Designing and configuring Fiori applications for relevant logistics functionalities.

- Integrating Fiori applications with the S4 HANA backend.

- Ensuring seamless user experience and performance.

Required Skills & Experience :

- SAP MM/IM/MRP Expertise : Deep and demonstrable expertise in SAP MM (Material Management), IM (Inventory Management), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) modules.

- S4 HANA Experience : Proven experience with S4 HANA, including prior upgrade experience from S4 HANA 2020 to 2023 (or similar versions).

- End-to-End Process Knowledge : Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes in logistics, including :

1. Intra and Inter-company Stock Transfers

2. Procurement (including Procure-to-Pay)

3. Order Management (including Order-to-Cash)

- Ideally, experience with Process Industries Production Processing.

- Configuration Skills : Hands-on experience with SAP configuration, particularly in the MM/IM/MRP modules.

- Fiori Experience : Experience with Fiori implementation and integration with S4 HANA.

- Upgrade Experience : Demonstrated experience in leading or significantly contributing to SAP upgrades.

- Testing & QA Experience : Strong understanding of testing methodologies and experience with developing and executing test plans.

- Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Documentation Skills : Ability to create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation.

Preferred Skills & Experience :

- Experience with other SAP modules relevant to logistics, such as SD (Sales & Distribution) or PP (Production Planning).

- Experience with Agile methodologies.

- Experience in a similar industry
