Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Databricks + Python Developer to join our team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing healthcare data integration interfaces using FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards. You will work on Azure Databricks to build efficient data pipelines and use Python for developing, testing, and deploying FHIR-compliant interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in healthcare data standards, data engineering, and cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop FHIR-Compliant Interfaces : Design, implement, and optimize interfaces using FHIR standards to facilitate the integration of healthcare systems.

- Leverage Azure Databricks : Build and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure Databricks to process and transform healthcare data efficiently.

- Data Transformation & Analysis : Utilize Python to develop scripts for data transformation, validation, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and compliance with healthcare standards.

- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with healthcare providers, data scientists, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure FHIR interfaces meet project needs.

- Cloud Integration : Ensure seamless integration between Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, etc.) and Databricks for real-time data processing.

- Testing & Quality Assurance : Implement automated testing frameworks for the FHIR interfaces and pipelines, ensuring high-quality and reliable data delivery.

- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, FHIR interfaces, and workflow processes.

- Stay Updated on Healthcare Standards : Keep up-to-date with developments in FHIR and other healthcare standards (e.g., HL7, DICOM) and ensure interfaces are compliant with the latest specifications.

- Performance Optimization : Monitor and tune performance of Databricks jobs, ensuring optimal resource usage and minimizing latency in data pipelines.

Required Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

- Minimum 2-6 years of experience in developing data pipelines and cloud-based solutions using Azure Databricks.

- Experience in healthcare data integration and familiarity with FHIR standards.

- Strong Python programming skills with demonstrated experience in data manipulation and transformation.

- Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale healthcare data.

Technical Skills :

- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Services (Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, etc.).

- Expertise in Python for data engineering, analysis, and developing healthcare interfaces.

- Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare interoperability standards.

- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.

- Experience in working with RESTful APIs and integrating various healthcare systems.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

- Exposure to big data technologies such as Spark is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.

- Familiarity with other programming languages or tools such as Scala, Java, or PySpark.

- Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and compliance in healthcare.

- Experience in agile methodologies and working in fast-paced environments.
