About the role:

We're hiring a Sr. Java Backend Developer who is passionate about their work, eager to learn and grow,

Experience:

4+ years of experience

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop performance-efficient APIs and scalable microservices for the cloud

using Java.

• Responsible for designing and developing Java components using Spring framework to

implement transaction management.

• Good experience in building large-scale software applications.
• Work with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver product

capabilities.

• Troubleshoot issues, and provide fixes.
• Participate in design and peer code reviews.
• Develop features and enhancements based on user stories and requirements.
• Develop test automation assets in a continuous integration and deployment environment.
• Become a product expert in important areas to encourage higher-quality development

efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java programming language, and OOP (object-oriented programming)

concepts.

• Proven experience in leading and mentoring development.
• Converting user requirements into efficient and scalable solutions.
• Sound problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.
• Experience with REST APIs and Java ( preferably Java 8+).
• Experience working with Elasticsearch

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging queues ( preferably RabbitMQ)
• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching

layer, proxies, and other web services

• Experience working with Cloud Technologies

Tech-Stack

• Core Java (version 8 or higher)
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• JPA, Hibernate
• Docker and/or Kubernetes
• NoSQL
• Experience in designing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Experience in either Maven, Ant, or Gradle
• Experience in AWS cloud or Databricks, and containerization using Docker
• Knowledge of UI frameworks, Java, and Application servers
• Proficiency with Git (Bitbucket, GitHub, Gitlab) is an advantage
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
