Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Presales Consultant with extensive experience in Website design, development, support and maintenance domain within IT consulting and services organizations. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in delivering high-quality proposals, responding to RFPs/RFIs, and crafting comprehensive SOWs. You will work on good size deals, demonstrating a deep understanding of functional and non-functional testing tools, test automation solutions, and industry-leading methodologies. As a individual contributor, you will be responsible for building compelling proposals, presenting solutions to clients, and participating in proposal defenses to secure key deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Qualification: Work with sales to identify and qualify potential clients in need of website design, development, support, and maintenance services.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and functional expectations, transforming these insights into actionable plans.
  • Solution Design: Design custom, scalable website solutions, including architecture, development frameworks, support models, and maintenance plans, tailored to client requirements.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare detailed proposals, RFP responses, and cost estimates, clearly outlining the project approach, deliverables, timeline, and benefits.
  • Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct demos and deliver presentations that showcase technical capabilities, project benefits, and how solutions meet client needs.
  • Technical Consultancy: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in website technologies, providing insights into design, development, hosting, support models, and best practices.
  • Collaboration with Technical Teams: Liaise with development, design, and support teams to ensure proposed solutions align with technical capabilities and resource availability.
  • Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitor offerings to highlight key differentiators of the company's solutions and strengthen value propositions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, acting as a bridge between clients and internal teams during the presales phase.
  • Market and Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in website design and development.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in presales or solution design within the website development, support, and maintenance domain.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of website design, development frameworks (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, etc.), and support and maintenance best practices.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with Agile and waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess client requirements and design tailored solutions that deliver measurable results.
  • Sales Orientation: Proven ability to support and influence the sales process, from discovery to closing.
  • Deep understanding of engagement models such as T&M, Fixed Bid, and outcome-based pricing, as well as SLA-driven governance.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders and manage proposal defenses confidently.
  • Experience working with global teams and customers across different geographies is a plus.

Must Have:

  • Experience in a presale or other customer-facing role
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the IT Services industry
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Self-motivated but team player
  • Excellent PowerPoint, MS Word & Excel skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skill, negotiation, presentation and business acumen
  • Extrovert, team player, self-starter and proactive
  • A keen interest towards a pre-sales role, responsibility and challenges that comes with it.
