Job Purpose:

The Data Modeler is responsible for designing and developing effective data models that support the organizations data warehousing and analytics initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling concepts, data warehousing architecture, and business requirements. The Data Modeler will collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and data engineers to ensure that the data models align with the organizations strategic goals and support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities

Responsibility:

1. Develop entity relationships (ER models) for normalized and dimensional models
2. Work closely with the ETL, BI, DBA and other teams to develop appropriate data models.
3. Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment
4. Be responsible for the development of the conceptual, logical, and physical data models, the implementation of RDBMS
5. Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models.
6. Hands-on modeling, design, configuration, installation, performance tuning experience
7. Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks.
8. Good knowledge of metadata management, data modeling, Dimension Modeling and related tools (ER Studio preferred but not limited to) required.
9. Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts required.
11.Strong SQL skills.
12.Modern DBMS (Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query) required.
13.Hands-on experience in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT preferred. (Azure Environment, ADF, Databricks, Snowflake)
14.Excellent communication, articulation and presentation skills.

Requirements:
1. Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Data Modeler or similar role, with a strong understanding of Pipeline Design ,data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
3. Experience working with cloud platforms such as Snowflake , Azure Data Factory, ADLS and any other ETL toos/ databases.
4. Understanding of ETL/ELT, Datawarehouse, Data lake designs.
5. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL, with experience in building and optimizing complex SQL queries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize data processes for performance and scalability.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
9. Certifications in relevant technologies (Snowflake,Azure ) are desirable but not required.
