AGCO is looking to hire candidates for the position of Functional Safety Engineer.

This role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the relevant safety standards for our products. In this role, you are responsible for creating the functional safety requirements and addressing them to the other parties involved in the development process and also responsible for coordinating the fulfilment of the safety requirements between the teams.

Your Impact

• Support of product development from initial evaluation through the entire development cycle including system evaluation and series release in accordance with common safety standards (e.g. ISO 25119. ISO 26262 etc.)

• Create functional and technical safety concepts for agricultural machinery in accordance with the relevant standards (ISO 25119/ ISO 13849/ISO 26262)

• Definition, coordination and optimization of all safety-related requirements in development.

• Support the development teams (internal and supplier) to implement safety concepts on system, hardware and software level.

• Calculates and evaluates technical key figures (diagnostic coverage, MTTF, etc.) of E/E/PES and mechatronik systems.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• Engineering degree or comparable education.

• First professional experience in the field of functional safety

• Certification in the area of functional safety desirable

• Good knowledge in the area of standards and regulations concerning product safety

• Very good written and spoken English
