Mechanical Manager (Power Plant maintenance & Project work)

Experience: Should have minimum 10 yrs experience in Power project and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management

1. Plan, execute, and oversee routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment, including turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and auxiliary systems.
2. Develop and implement a robust maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations.
4. Monitor equipment performance through KPIs and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
5. Ensure spare parts inventory management and liaise with suppliers for critical components.

Project Management

1. Lead mechanical projects, including the installation of new equipment, system upgrades, and plant modifications.
2. Prepare project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
3. Collaborate with engineering teams for the design and selection of mechanical systems and components.
4. Coordinate with contractors and vendors for project execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
5. Ensure proper documentation and reporting for all projects.

Team Leadership

1. Supervise, mentor, and train a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
2. Assign tasks and monitor the performance of the maintenance and project teams.
3. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.

Safety and Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations during all maintenance and project activities.
2. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
3. Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
4. Investigate and report incidents, implementing corrective actions.

Budgeting and Reporting

1. Develop and manage the maintenance and project budgets, ensuring cost control.
2. Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, project progress, and equipment performance to senior management.
3. Propose and justify capital investments for plant improvements.
