Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Library Management & Organization:

• Manage the daily operations of the school library, ensuring a welcoming and resourceful environment.
• Organize, catalog, and classify books and other library materials systematically.
• Maintain an updated inventory of books, journals, digital resources, and multimedia materials.
• Implement library policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with school guidelines.

Student & Teacher Support:

• Assist students and faculty in locating and selecting appropriate books and resources.
• Promote reading habits through storytelling, book clubs, and literary activities.
• Guide students in research techniques, referencing, and information literacy.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum.

Library Activities & Events:

• Organize book fairs, reading programs, and author interactions.
• Conduct workshops on digital literacy and responsible internet usage.
• Promote the use of digital databases, e-books, and online resources.

Technology & Digital Resources:

• Manage and update the library’s digital catalog and database.
• Encourage the use of e-books, online journals, and multimedia resources.
• Implement modern library management software for efficient record-keeping.

Administrative & Record-Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of issued and returned books.
• Ensure timely repair and replacement of damaged or lost books.
• Prepare monthly reports on library usage and inventory status.
