Cad Programmer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom/windows applications and plugins for drafting using Autodesk Inventor & its API.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as VB.NET, and C#(Strong object-oriented programming skills are a must )
• Debug and troubleshoot issues related to custom applications and plugins.
• Do proper testing and maintain 100% accuracy for all plugins before releasing them to production.
• Document code and create user manuals for developed tools and applications.
• Must be familiar with iLogic part template creation.
• Must be capable of developing COM applications (COM Programming)
• Serialization and deserialization of JSON/XML formats.
• Stay updated with the latest features and updates of Autodesk Inventor and its API.
• Able to develop standalone, add-in applications and dynamic link libraries.
• Train & develop the teams skill level to meet department productivity and quality metrics.
• Timely resolving team issues to mitigate, and escalate, delays as required and ensure on-time completion.
• Actively work with the drafting team on CI initiatives to improve drafting metrics.
• Actively seek team feedback and implement training procedures to increase efficiencies.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor and its API.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders.
• Good analytical skills, basic Mathematics, Geometry and Visualization skills.
• Other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.
