Job Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company's financial strategy, operations, and performance. The CFO will manage all aspects of the financial management, reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning. In this diverse and challenging role, the CFO will also provide critical business insights, optimize resource allocation, and work cross-functionally to align financial goals with the overall business objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of finance, accounting, operations, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy and Leadership:

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy to support long-term growth objectives.

- Provide leadership in all areas of finance, ensuring that all financial policies and practices align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.

- Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team on all financial matters, offering strategic insights and recommendations.

- Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes to ensure financial sustainability.

2. Financial Management and Reporting:

- Direct all financial reporting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.

- Lead the preparation of financial forecasts, providing key metrics and actionable insights to drive business decision-making.

- Manage the company's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure financial stability and optimize financial performance.

- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results, aligning them with both internalm and external requirements.

3. Risk Management and Compliance:

- Oversee the development and implementation of internal controls and compliance programs to mitigate financial, operational, and business risks.

- Monitor changes in financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards to ensure company compliance.

- Lead the company's audit process, working with external auditors to ensure the integrity of financial statements and adherence to regulatory standards.

4. Operational Efficiency:

- Lead process improvements within finance, accounting, and operations to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve profitability.

- Evaluate and optimize financial systems, controls, and technologies to ensure the company is using the most effective tools and processes.

- Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial data and offer recommendations for improving operational efficiency.

5. Team Leadership and Development:

- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.

- Establish and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department.

- Develop and monitor the team's goals and ensure accountability for delivering on strategic priorities.

6. Stakeholder Engagement and External Relations:

- Serve as the primary liaison for the company with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies.

- Lead efforts to raise capital or negotiate financing arrangements to support business growth and investment needs.

- Provide key financial insights to investors and board members, preparing reports and presentations as needed.

Required Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) and Company Secretary (CS)-both qualification is mandatory.

- LLB (Bachelor of Laws) is preferred but not required.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is essential; MBA is preferred.

- A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Finance Director, VP of Finance, or CFO).

- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

- Proven track record of leading financial strategy and managing financial operations in a fast-paced, mid-sized company.

- Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.

- Solid understanding of business operations, including marketing, sales, and production cost structures.

- Experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on data and financial analysis.
