Job Description
- Technical Lead duties for OLE design Schemes.
- Delivery and management of the production of technical designs for OLE including Layout Plans, Cross Sections, Allocations, Isolation Diagrams updates, bonding designs, and supporting reports and calculations.
- Ensuring designs are delivered in line with relevant, current design standards, are constructable, and apply Safe by Design principles.
- Work within financial and programme constraints, monitoring expenditure against the project fee.
- Communicate effectively with other design/construction disciplines and sub-contractors
- Respond to design queries during construction phase and attend meetings if required.
- Prepare all the Project related Progress sheets/MOM/KPIs.
- Maintain cost effective standards for OLE designs
- Contribute to the development of continuous improvement plans
- Develop and maintain client relationships as appropriate
- Prepare the costing and hour required for the tasks.
- Manage time and resources effectively
- Manage performance and team development
- Manage the appraisal of staff competency
- Develop and manage subordinate staff in line with the Unit Business Plan
- Ensure a commitment to continuing CPD for self and others
- Delegate responsibility effectively
- Display creativity and problem-solving ability in approach to assignments, projects and tasks
- Show capacity to improve effectiveness.
- Exercise leadership and interpersonal skills in the management and motivation of others
- Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant fi
