Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer - M365 Licensing

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Microsoft Exchange Online, Exchange On-premises, and M365 licensing. You will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, supporting migrations, and ensuring seamless operations. This role requires a deep understanding of M365 licensing models, advanced troubleshooting, and the ability to deliver enterprise-grade IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Microsoft Exchange Management:
o Manage, configure, and maintain Exchange Online and On-premises environments.
o Oversee mailbox provisioning, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and room mailboxes.
o Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to email flow, mailbox synchronization, and non-delivery reports.
2. Migration Expertise:
o Plan and execute migrations from Exchange On-premises to Exchange Online with minimal downtime.
o Optimize migration processes and address challenges in hybrid environments.
3. M365 Licensing and Compliance:
o Administer and manage Microsoft 365 licenses, including assignment, optimization, and compliance tracking.
o Implement licensing best practices to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with organizational requirements.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to recommend suitable licensing plans based on business needs.
4. Data Compliance and Governance:
o Implement and manage data retention policies, litigation holds, and mailbox auditing to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
o Support eDiscovery processes and content searches to maintain regulatory standards.
5. Infrastructure Management:
o Develop and maintain high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Exchange environments.
o Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
o Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to enhance operational efficiency.
6. Collaboration and Training:
o Conduct training sessions and workshops for team members on cloud technologies and M365 licensing.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and improve overall IT service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, Microsoft Exchange solutions, and IT support.
Hands-on experience with M365 licensing models, Exchange Online, and Exchange On-premises.
Proficiency in Azure Active Directory and Windows Server Administration.
Strong understanding of retention policies, eDiscovery, and data compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
Certification in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, M365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator).
Experience with disaster recovery planning and high availability setups.
Familiarity with Exchange Online Protection and networking fundamentals.
