Role & responsibilities
- Hold responsibility for service-quality standards and adherence to budgets of SCM, Security, Housekeeping, Food & Beverages, Materials, Engineering, Hospital Support Services, Information Technology, Patient Care Services, Ancillary business services, Biomedical Equipment
- Manage and supervise coordination within support services to deliver on required quality standards & as per Standard Operative Procedures
- Act as custodian of all government and statutory compliances for non-medical services
- Short-list, train, schedule and motivate all manpower (including contracted) for all non-clinical departments (that come under incumbent's direct purview) and get maximum output with respect to time and service standards
- Plan and control overall budget compliances related to non-medical
- Provide safe & secure environment in the hospital for patients, visitors & staff.
- Managing procurement of items for hospital use including capex.
- Negotiations with vendors
- Timely payment to vendors in coordination with Finance
- Role in planning annual budgets
- Managing inventory
- Ensuring SCM parameters from Corporate office are met

- Reviewing the infection prevention program throughout the facility; evaluating policies and procedures related to patient care infection prevention measures throughout the facility.
- Reviewing annual risk assessment from the prior years activities, and recommend any changes required.
- Making recommendations regarding construction and renovation projects, and participation in all Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) activities and environmental rounds
- Reviewing employee health in monitoring work-related exposures
- Reviewing the components of the facilitys infection prevention and control program to include:
- Policies and procedures
- Program oversight
- Surveillance activities
- Process surveillance
- Outcome surveillance
- Antibiogram review of the facilities resistant pattern over time
- Conducting outbreak investigations which includes knowing what constitutes an outbreak
