Job Description
Plan and execute material characterization of epoxy systems in composite & electrical applications. Participation in product trials, on-site troubleshooting, and providing customers with quick, high-quality technical support by performing performance testing and thermal and mechanical characterization of polymeric materials at PMRC.
Job Context:

Advanced Materials business is experiencing high growth globally and specifically in the IMEA market. In 2024, the business expanded its capacity at Vilayat, India and also ventured into polyester and polyamide manufacturing. Further with focus on technology to propel growth the business expanded its global R&D capabilities and infrastructure. The development of new products and applications by R&D teams are the key enablers that differentiate from competition.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support to Customers
- Participate in product trials and troubleshooting at customer site
- Offer technical solutions to compelling issues and challenges faced by customers
- Work closely with customer and focus on understanding the customer needs and pain points and help them to relieve it.
- Design, plan, and prioritize experiments for customer requirements and comparative studies with competitor s products.
- Evaluate competitor s product and submit report to development team for product improvement.
- Data analysis, interpretation and preparation of reports.
- Co-ordinate with analytical teams, product development, QA for method development as and when required.
- Material Characterization and Process Development
- Maintain Quality Standards in the application lab.
- Establish test protocols and best practices and compliances in Application Development Lab.
- Develop customer application process and simulate application conditions.
- Calibrate testing equipment s as per customer conditions/test standards.
- Autonomous Maintenance of test equipment s, maintaining their history card and ensuring preventive maintenance, calibration etc
- Co-ordinate with vendors as per the lab/test requirements
- Determine external testing facilities and third-party labs in the event that we lack the testing capacity.
Safety, Health & Environment
- Implement & monitor safe working conditions in and around the lab.
- Proactively interact and take an action to ensure positive SHE attitude and activities.
- Take part in creating MSDS of new materials or changes in MSDS as required.
- Maintain arrangements for sustainable Process Safety Management (PSM) at responsible area .
- Implement effective lab practices and methods to improve safety. Development of working cultures in a direction which supports health and safety at work.
- Conduct risk assessments of all the activities conducted in the lab and take preventive measures.
Participative Management
- Ensure WCM practices are followed in the team. Take part in group activities.
- Lead and encourage team for in house Quality competitions.
- Lead and mentor team for 5S activities.
