Sr. Lead Conveying Equipment & Utilities

Conceptualization and Basic Engineering Review and Validation

• Support the conceptual design process for conveying equipment and utilities systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry best practices.
• Review layouts and system designs, ensuring that they meet functional requirements, efficiency goals, and scalability considerations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical) to validate design concepts and system interdependencies.
• Participate in technical feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure systems can be implemented successfully.
• Review engineering specifications for systems, including conveyor types, material handling equipment, and utilities (HVAC, compressed air).

Budget, Tendering & Ordering support

• Assist in developing the project budget for conveying systems and utilities, ensuring that all key elements (e.g., materials, labor, vendor costs) are accurately accounted for.
• Review & validate tender documents, ensuring that all requirements and technical specifications are clear and comprehensive for vendors.
• Participate in process of vendor selection, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
• Provide technical support during the tendering process, clarifying specifications and evaluating vendor proposals.
• Track and manage material ordering, ensuring timely procurement of equipment and systems to meet project timelines.

Detail Engineering Review and Validations

• Review detailed engineering designs for conveying systems and utilities, ensuring compliance with the conceptual design, project specifications, and safety standards.
• Validate detailed designs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and integration with other project systems (mechanical, structural, electrical).
• Coordinate with the design team to resolve any discrepancies or design issues identified during the review process.
• Oversee the development and finalization of engineering drawings, ensuring that they meet technical, operational, and safety requirements.
• Ensure that detailed designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including environmental and safety compliance.

Capability Building

• Develop and implement standards and guidelines for conveying systems and utilities.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to project and site teams.
• Support site teams in project staffing, ensuring skilled resources are allocated.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing through documentation and lessons learned from projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance technical competency across teams.
• Conduct workshops or training sessions to build expertise in advanced equipment and utilities.

Quality Control and

• Ensure that all conveying equipment and utility systems are designed, tested, and commissioned according to established quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance (QA) team to develop and implement inspection and testing procedures for materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections during installation and commissioning phases to ensure that systems meet all project requirements.
• Ensure that all systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards, addressing any safety concerns during design, installation, and operation.
• Monitor system performance during commissioning and initial operations, identifying and addressing any issues related to quality or safety.
