- Working with global Application Engineering, Product Development, Sales and Marketing personnel to develop and replicate high impact applications for the consumer electronics market (specifically adhesives Market and conductive market).
- Identifying the best 3M solution for an application by thoroughly understanding the customer need, testing, and analyzing results. Communicate results to customers and global application engineering team through written reports and presentations.
- Providing launch support for new product programs by generating supporting documentation, demonstration tools, videos, and training materials
- Building a deep understanding of customer needs and competition for the electronics market and provide Voice of Customer, new product ideas and competitive analysis
- Specify 3M products at key OEM s and Tiers on engineering drawings provide support required to transition business to manufacturing locations throughout zones, regions, and subsidiaries
- Develop lab infrastructure to support business plans, plan for equipment, inputs for lab capex planning, work with engineering for procurement of equipment by providing right specifications.
- Provide training to 3M Internal sales and marketing team, new joins, distributers, online training, field / shop floor training to customer for proper use of 3M solutions, preparing training calendar and training modules, feedback and other documentations etc. Devise ways to use e-tools to help the sales team to improve productivity.
- Bachelor s/master s degree in engineering from any reputed institution/ University with Polymer science/ Chemical / Materials science/ Electronics as the major subject.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in customer facing roles preferably in electronics segment.
- Experience with tapes adhesives, conductive materials etc would be an advantage.
- Comfortable in handling testing equipment, and analytical instruments
- Good understanding about IP protocols and procedures
- Exploratory mindset and aptitude to identify new applications, new opportunities and customer pain areas and value selling
- Should be a team player, able to plan work independently with minimum supervision
- Should be able to network effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers, and should have good key account management skills
- Strong analytical, presentation communication skills
- Knowledge in converting processes like die-cutting and slitting is desired
- Experience with creating digital contents by using editing software recording devices to mimic customer applications for demonstration of product solutions
