Land Acquisition Specialist

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end process of land acquisition for Thermal Projects in Assam, including site identification, due diligence, negotiation, and acquisition.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop land acquisition strategies that align with project timelines and objectives.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with landowners, government authorities, and community members to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to land acquisition and property rights.
• Coordinate with legal counsel to review and finalize land acquisition agreements and resolve any disputes or issues that may arise.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all land acquisition activities, including land records, agreements, and payments.
• Monitor and report on the progress of land acquisition activities to project stakeholders and senior management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, land acquisition laws, and best practices to continuously improve processes and outcomes.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-20 years of experience in land acquisition and liaison roles within the Thermal Projects industry.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully acquiring land for large-scale projects while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies, local communities, and other relevant stakeholders.
