Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a professional with a deep understanding of health insurance claims processing and underwriting processes to be the spokesperson for Acko when interacting with our customers. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively guide customers through the claims process, resolve issues, and build strong relationships.


Responsibilities


Key Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: As a subject matter expert (SME) on the health insurance lifecycle, will not be involved in claims processing or medical underwriting but will require a thorough understanding of the entire health insurance process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues related to claims processing.
  • Explain the reasons for Underwriting decisions to the customers to make them appreciate the fairness in our policies
  • Primary Point of Contact: Will be the spokesperson for customers and internal stakeholders, addressing various health insurance-related inquiries, such as:
    • Claims and claim status updates
    • Claim declines and resolution support
    • Document deficiency issues
    • Policy-related queries
    • Pre-existing conditions (PED) and other health-related inquiries
    • Explain the reasons for Underwriting decisions to the customers to make them appreciate the fairness in our policies

Qualification Criteria:

  • Educational Background: Must hold a degree in MBBS, BHMS, BAMS, BDS, MDS, or BUMS.
  • Medical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medical concepts and terminology is essential.
  • Industry Experience:
    • Candidates should have experience in the insurance industry or a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) setting.
    • Experience in claims processing or medical underwriting is required. Having experience in both areas will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Must have strong communication skills in English and Hindi to effectively engage with customers and stakeholders.
  • Customer Orientation: Should be smart, customer-centric, and capable of addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Should be open to Five days a week with two rotational days off and working from office.

  • Understanding and relating to customer' experiences and concerns
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of multiple health insurance carriers.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
  • CARE (Compassionate, Accountable, Responsive and Expert)
