Group Finance Controller - Agro Industry - UAE

Designation: Group Finance Controller

Qualification: CA with 12+ years of experience in agro commodities industry

Roles and responsibilities:

1. Prepare consolidated financial statements and notes for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the Group and its subsidiaries

2. Develop technical accounting memos and papers as needed, leading decisions on accounting estimates and judgments, with expertise in areas like guarantees, leases, expected credit losses (ECL), right-of-use (ROU) assets, and impairments.

7. Support the implementation of improvements in financial reporting systems and processes, including the continuous development of the S4HANA core finance system

8. M&A Support:

- Lead financial work streams and due diligence processes, identifying transaction risks and proposing mitigation strategies.

- Coordinate with external advisors and other work streams, supporting the drafting and negotiation of relevant parts of Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs) and Shareholder Agreements (SHAs).

- Accountable for post-transaction support, crafting and implementing integration plans with clear objectives and tracking acquisition benefits.

- Support valuation processes through analysis of business plans, valuation models, and scenario analysis.

- Create and analyze integrated financial models, advising on the potential impact of acquisitions on key financial indicators and accounting implications.
