Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Technical Support Engineer (System Administrator) to join our IT team. The role involves managing and maintaining IT systems, providing technical support to users, and ensuring the reliability and security of the organizations infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with a strong background in system administration and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS) and server environments.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in systems like Active Directory.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Perform system upgrades, backups, and patch management.

Technical Support

• Respond to Level 1/2/3 support tickets and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Provide support for end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Document issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.
• Communicate with customers to understand the issue and resolved it.

Network and Security

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Ensure the security of IT systems by implementing antivirus, firewalls, and other protective measures.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and mitigate risks.

IT Infrastructure Management

• Manage cloud and on-premises servers, including virtualization platforms like AWS, VMware or Hyper-V.
• Oversee IT inventory and maintain an up-to-date record of hardware and software assets.
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested.

User Training and Collaboration

• Provide training and support to employees on IT tools and systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for system improvements and troubleshooting.
• Participate in IT project planning and execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux/Mac operating systems and server environments.
• Proficiency in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
• Experience with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of backup solutions, system monitoring tools, and IT security best practices.

Educational Background:
