We at Accolade Electronics are on the look-out for a highly motivated and experienced Sr Engineer to join our Hardware department

Job Description

• Understanding FRQ specification and provide technical inputs to Hardware Design Engineer related to their task
• Defining the hardware architecture
• New component selection, Simulation, Design calculation, Prepare and update DFMEA for design
• Design and review of block level / Schematic Design, PCB Layout as per guidelines and check list, BMO for major parts, based on the architecture to meet cost and timeline requirement of the customer.
• Coordinate with PCB design engineer with PCB placement, layout guidelines, checklist and review of Gerber data.
• Supplier communication
• Coordination with SW department team for HW integration.
• LTE/4G, Wi-Fi / BT, GPS,C-V2X etc.
• Design & Testing Experience in 5G Technology products (OBU, RSU etc.)
• Design Experience in Telematics Control Unit (TCU)
• Work experience in automotive Domain.
• Requirements Analysis & understanding, Component Selection
• Hardware Architecture & Design Document Preparation
• Schematic Design & Review
• BOM Preparation & Review
• PCB Layout Guidance, Support and Review Netlist verification
• SI, PI & Thermal analysis and support
• Mechanical team Interaction & DXF/step files understanding
• Components Procurement Team Coordination/Support
• PCB fabrication Coordination/support
• PCB Assembly Coordination/support to EMS
• Electrical bring up Testing & Validation
• Support to SW Team for Driver & application porting & testing/debugging
• Provide solutions to production issues when required
• Supplier & Customer Interaction

Desired technical skills

• Experience in 32/64 Bit SoC/Processor based Designs
• Experience in 16/32 Bit Microcontroller based Designs
• Experience in 4G/5G products Developments
• EMI/EMC compliant Designs, Analog/Mixed Signal Designs and Multilayer PCB Designs
• Peripherals Knowledge-DDR3L, LPDDR4, eMMC flash, NAND flash, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,4G/LTE,5G, GPS, Audio codec, Accelerometer/Gyro sensors, Ethernet Phy, USB, RS232 Driver, CAN PHY, DC-DC converters.
• H/W Design 8/16/32 bit microcontroller, power supply memory
• Hands on experience on schematics entry tool like OrCAD, Altium, Board bring up, PCB layout review
• Protocols/Interfaces-I2C, I2S, SPI, UART, SDIO, CAN, USB, MII / RMII, PCIe.
• Testing & Debugging knowledge
• EDA Tools Experience- OrCAD, Altium Designer, Allegro Viewer
• Test Tools Knowledge-Oscilloscope, multimeter, Spectrum Analyzer
• Experience is telematic based product
• Experience in Automotive product Designs
