Assistant Manager - Civil

Mission: Execute the Construction area s activities, in coordination with the Engineering team, Project Management area and all other participating departments.

Responsibilities:
1. Produce Specifications for Geotechnical, Contour Survey and Hydrology and review of geotechnical reports produced by third parties.

2. Prepare preliminary layouts for Solar and Wind Projects in coordination with electrical engineering team.

3. Create Request for Purchase (RFP) along with scope of work and preliminary specifications for new projects and work closely with internal stakeholders and purchase department to evaluate and select the vendors for civil and structural works.

4. Create RFP and scope of work to evaluate and select the vendors for design and engineering consultancy services.

5. Coordinate and support Project and Quality Teams for the establishment of laboratory set up at Project sites for testing of raw materials and concrete as per design.

6. Participate in the process of developing the new and potential vendors for civil and structural works in future and ongoing projects.

7. Coordinate and support in costing exercise for new and upcoming projects. 8. Support the site team on time to time basis for quality Inspection of civil works execution and alignment as per drawing.

9. Incorporate safety aspects during the design phase for the construction and commissioning of the project.

10. Organise periodic review meetings with site team, consultants, contractors & sub-contractors for design and engineering progress review.

11. Preparation of periodic progress reports for different stakeholders.

Degrees-Certificates/Training: University degree: Bachelor s or Master s in Civil Engineering from reputed/recognized university.
Further training: Additional training on renewable energy construction projects.

Years/Areas of experience: 07 to 09 Years with minimum of 3 years of experience in Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind) Projects

Work Location: Bangalore with periodic travel to construction sites and potential new sites.

 

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

1. Candidate shall have Sound knowledge of Indian and equivalent International Standards for Civil and Structural Works associated with Renewable Energy Projects (Solar/Wind)

2. Understands product technology related to civil and structural components in wind / Solar projects to a substantial degree and can effectively communicate with site personnel, contractors, consultants, internal stakeholders, and executive management.

3. Knowledge and Proficiency in handling the tools such MS Office, AutoCAD, Google Earth, and other drawing and layout development tools.

4. Knowledge of different mounting technologies (Fix/Seasonal/Tracker) in Solar and knowledge of Wind turbine foundations.

5. Knowledge of Mix Design, Source Approval, Test Report of Cement, Steel & Other Civil Material used in Construction Site.

6. Proficiency in foundation design for electrical equipment, design of roads, fencing and drainages.

7. Knowledge of prevailing industry costs for civil and structural works in Solar and Wind Projects
